My name is Shaun Curtis and I've lived in Gaithersburg for most of my life. I enjoy photography, history and exploring local historic sites.
I have fond childhood memories of hiking through the woods that is now the Kentlands, eating at DeDe's Diner on Darnestown Road and going to summer concerts on the lawn at the Washingtonian Complex (RIO). In the 1980s, Gaithersburg and the surrounding area seemed to still have that small-town feel to it. I can only imagine what it was like 100 years ago.
Although I may move on someday, Gaithersburg will always be home.
